Fueling Curriki’s Initiative with Open Innovation Labs
Continuous education is critical in these turbulent times. Curriki, a non-profit organization, has revolutionised the way digital learning content is distributed and openly shared for over a decade. Curriki is building a movement that will fundamentally change the way education experiences are delivered to students. Their products, CurrikiStudio and CurrikiGo allow anyone without any programming experience to create a remote learning experience.
Red Hat Open Innovation Labs recently had a powerful engagement with Curriki. Our Open Innovation Labs helps customers build great products the open source way—in our immersive residency, we pair engineers with open source and agile experts, transforming ideas into business outcomes. Traditionally, we do these residency engagements at a customer site or in a shared space. However, after the pandemic outbreak last year, we shifted to virtual residencies in the APAC region, with almost all of them getting a customer success score of 100%.
Collaborating with Curriki to change education forever
By engaging with Open Innovation Labs, Curriki has enabled many educational institutions to deploy, scale and use CurrikiStudio seamlessly. One of the most significant benefits for our customers is that by the time we finish the engagement, their teams are up-skilled on modern software development practices and can move out of their comfort zones. In addition, the Curriki team loved the experience and felt they could continue with the new practices we jointly laid out.
It has been a fantastic experience, especially the speed with which we have progressed and our team’s ability to switch how they think. As well, we have built much confidence with the Curriki board of directors.
“Being part of the Open Innovation Labs residency program has been absolutely fundamental to us. Using Red Hat’s OpenShift technology, we made our platform very simple to set up and support all of the major platforms. We have reliability, scalability, availability, productivity, and efficiency built into this thing. It will help every learner in the world down the road. The Red Hat team totally impressed everybody at Curriki.” said Scott McNealy.
Everyone at the Red Hat Open Innovation Labs feels super proud that we have made this planet a better place. And we believe this is just the beginning.
