
CIMB Niaga’s Bank Annual Report
Digital Transformation is a Team effort; it requires everyone to work on a common goal every day. At CIMB Niaga Bank in Indonesia, we developed a new application while improving the capability of the teams. We used several different practices to make this happen: Design Thinking techniques, Agile ceremonies, and a DevOps approach, just to name a few. We tracked the overall performance by using metrics, which we defined at the start of the engagement, to ensure that we were on track. We trained, coached and provided hands-on guidance to the teams while at the same time building this new product. We even invited the bank’s end customers early in the process to test prototypes to ensure we build the ‘right thing’.
The Transformation took more than six months and was a complete success. The bank won several prestigious awards for this new application, which customers loved.
What surprised me was that the Bank mentioned my name publicly in their annual company report 2020 for my effort in this piece of work. Thank you!
