Networking Lunch with The Hon. Bruce Billson
Covid severely impacted small businesses with lockdowns and, more recently, through supply chain disruptions, staff and customer shortages and rising business costs across Australia.
On Monday, 26th September, Business Sydney held a networking lunch with The Hon Bruce Billson GAICD, the Australian Small and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, with over 60 business leaders in the Sydney CBD.
The Ombudsman highlighted the importance of engagement with all tiers of the government to understand small business needs better during these challenging times. The engagement between Small Businesses and the Government will help to develop policies to support this vital economic driver and employer, ensuring Australia is the best place to start, grow and transform a business.
After his presentation, the Ombudsman participated in a Q&A with Helen Nezeritis, the Director of Customer Service and Operations at the NSW Small Business Commissioner, Patrick Coghlan, Chief Executive Officer at CreditorWatch and Paul Nicolaou, Executive Director at Business Sydney.
